This illustration series is based on a quasar, "a compact region in the center of a massive galaxy, that surrounds its central supermassive black hole." I am inspired by the mathematics of our universe and the unknown. I created these illustrations as a series to capture movement. Whether seen as a stand-alone image or series, I wanted to pull the observer in and away from themselves as well as into themselves at the same time. Originally illustrated with a 0.18 fineliner and finished in Adobe Photoshop.
