It's Time to Bloom

I created this artwork at the beginning of Spring. Spring and Autumn are transition seasons and they're my favourite. Spring itself is especially close to my heart as it comes as a welcome relief after a wet and cold Cape Town Winter. Those rains set up the soil for the abundance that Spring brings, a symphony of colour and an burst of new life.

My own personal growth has come at this time too and I wanted to honour this phase with a new illustration. I spent a lot of time in my own darkness during this Winter, preparing my metaphorical soil for new creations. "It's time to bloom." echoed in my heart while drawing the elements of this illustration. Newness, blooming, joy, celebration and literally sharing your beauty with the world. This is what Spring means to me. I hope this artwork serves as a reminder for you to bloom too. <3
