I've always been fascinated by snakes. With my Ouroboros illustration, I was investigating the symbol of the snake and the never ending infinity symbol. With this piece of work, I'm trying to grab the attention of the viewer. It's a little bit aggressive in the way that the twin snakes have their mouths open at you, as if they're about to attack. But once you bring your gaze closer, you'll see there is beauty in the danger, something unexpected. There are flowers in their mouths. A gift. In essence, I'm communicating that sometimes, to appreciate the beautiful things in our lives, we have to experience the challenges that often precede them.
